Terms of Service

Please read these terms carefully before using Doculy.

By accessing or using Doculy ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

1. Description of Service

Doculy is a document collection tool designed for independent bookkeepers to request and receive documents from their clients. Doculy is not a document archiving or long-term storage service.

By creating an account, you represent that you are at least 18 years old and have the legal authority to enter into this agreement.

You are solely responsible for maintaining backup copies of any documents, files, or data uploaded to or collected through the Service. Doculy is not responsible for any loss, corruption, or unauthorized access to your data, except where caused by Doculy's gross negligence or willful misconduct.

You acknowledge that Doculy serves as a document collection tool and is not a document storage or archiving service. Documents uploaded through the Service should be downloaded and backed up by the account holder promptly.

7. Third-Party Data and Client Consent

When you use Doculy to collect documents from your clients, you represent and warrant that you have obtained all necessary consents from those individuals for the collection, storage, and processing of their documents through the Service. Doculy is not liable for any claims arising from your failure to obtain proper consent from your clients.

8. Payment and Subscriptions

Paid plans are billed monthly. You may cancel at any time. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. Refunds are not provided for partial billing periods. Payment is processed by Stripe and subject to their terms of service.

9. Account Termination and Data

Upon termination of your account, you will have thirty (30) days to download your data. After this period, Doculy may permanently delete all data associated with your account, including uploaded documents. This action cannot be undone.

Doculy reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with or without notice.

10. Modifications to Terms

Doculy reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes via email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of the State of Delaware.
